Synopsis
Lancaster Skies (2019) is a British World War II drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Callum Burn. Kris Saddler plays Douglas Miller, a Spitfire ace worn down by loss, reassigned to lead a Lancaster bomber crew on raids over Berlin in 1944.
Miller doesn't want a new crew. Doesn't want to care about anyone he might have to watch die. Rosa Coduri-Fulford and Jeffrey Mundell feature alongside him in a cast of largely unfamiliar faces — which works in the film's favour. No star to distract from the story. The film stays close to the ground: airfield routines, the weight of briefings, the silence after a mission.
