Flanders (Flandres, 2006) is a French war drama from Bruno Dumont — watch it online on iFILM. Demester farms the flat northern countryside and silently loves his childhood friend Barbe. She gives him what little she can. He accepts it without a word.

When he ships off to a distant war, fear and violence slowly reshape him. Back home, Barbe waits and fades. Dumont strips out every war-film convention — no heroics, no swelling score, just farmland, long silences, and two people who have no language for what they feel.
