Synopsis
Minotaur (Minotaure, 2026) — watch online on iFILM — is the new film from Andrei Zvyagintsev, the Russian director whose Leviathan took Best Screenplay at Cannes 2014 and Loveless picked up the Jury Prize in 2017. A German-French-Latvian co-production running 135 minutes, it is a crime drama set inside the pressures of corporate life.
Gleb is a company director. On paper, everything is in order. Then several things break simultaneously: professional pressure he cannot manage, a world that keeps destabilising, and his wife's affair. Zvyagintsev tracks the fault lines with his usual exactitude, and the trajectory bends toward violence. Dmitry Mazurov plays Gleb; Varvara Shmykova and Anatoly Bely round out the leads.
The Minotaur myth is a load-bearing structure here, not a metaphor to admire from a distance — there is a labyrinth, a man inside it, and the question of which one is actually the monster. Anyone who wants psychology over plot will find 135 minutes well spent. Stream Minotaur (2026) online on iFILM.
