Synopsis
God's Favorite Idiot (2022) is a Netflix comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. Clark is an unremarkable, middle-aged tech-support guy whose life changes when a bolt of lightning hits him — and afterward he literally starts to glow.
The glow turns him into instant news fodder, but the real explanation is far weirder. An angel shows up to explain that God has picked Clark to carry a message to humankind. Then it escalates: a charming, extremely dangerous female Satan, the horsemen of the apocalypse, and a genuine end-of-the-world threat. Clark has to handle all of it with Amily, the coworker he's just fallen for, and a crew of oddball office colleagues.
Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone, who also created the show, play it in their signature register — improvised banter, roller skates and absurd detours wedged between conversations about saving the planet. The TV-MA rating is honest about the jokes not being family-friendly. It lands best with viewers who enjoy goofy, low-stakes comedy that isn't aiming for depth.
