Synopsis
Baby Ruby (2023) is an American psychological horror-thriller you can watch online on iFILM. In her feature debut, writer-director Bess Wohl follows Jo (Noémie Merlant), a lifestyle influencer whose tightly managed world starts coming apart the moment she brings newborn Ruby home.
Her husband Ben (Kit Harington) is supportive. The neighbors are helpful. There is no single thing Jo can point to. And yet the sleep deprivation bleeds into dread, and the dread starts shaping what she sees: a sinister edge to ordinary gestures, a wrong note in every reassurance. The film runs 89 minutes and never confirms whether any of it is real.
This is postpartum anxiety as horror premise — and it works because Merlant never telegraphs which way it's going. Not for viewers who need answers handed to them, but exactly right for those who prefer the threat to stay ambiguous. Stream it online on iFILM.
