Synopsis
Der Beischläfer — The Bedfellow (2020) is a German comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. Charlie Menzinger is a Munich mechanic with exactly the life he wants: days under the hood of his friend Xaver's vintage Italian sports cars, no deadlines, no obligations. Then a jury summons arrives and no amount of excuses will move the newly assigned judge, Dr. Julia Kellermann.
Markus Stoll — widely known in Bavaria as cabaret performer Harry G. — plays Charlie with the resigned patience of a man who knows resistance is futile. Once inside the Munich District Court, though, Charlie finds that the lay-judge seat comes with unexpected advantages, and a person who never cared about much begins to care about rather a lot.
