Allen plays a jittery writer settled into quiet suburban life with his wife. That calm collapses overnight when Lennie, a young radical on the run, turns up at their door, played by Miley Cyrus. She's hiding from the law, stuffing the house full of revolutionary talk, and flipping a respectable family's routine completely over. Elaine May and Rachel Brosnahan round out the scenes.

This is late-period Allen through and through: chatty dialogue, gentle jabs at the bourgeoisie, sixties politics as backdrop for nervous one-liners.
