Black Ball

Black Ball (Чёрный мяч, 2004), a Russian sports drama, is available to watch online on iFILM. Directed by Khusein Erkenov, the film follows Denis Skvortsov, a seventeen-year-old striker for whom football is less a career path than a reason to get up in the morning.

Denis has it figured out: respected, in love, untouchable on the pitch. Then a wealthy sponsor moves in with plans to reshape the club, and Denis finds he suddenly has a great deal to lose. The cast includes Sergei Chirkov, Alexander Dedyushko, Olga Mashnaya and Pyotr Velyaminov.
