Synopsis
Rock It, Stone Fish! (2024) is a Russian comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. Zhanna left her hometown and her difficult father behind twenty years ago and built a different life in Moscow. His unexpected death brings her back just long enough to handle the funeral — and then he wakes up.
Her dead father is back, calling her by the old nickname she always hated, insisting they spend his last day together before it is really over. What follows is a road trip through her childhood, a chance to argue and say what neither of them managed to say in two decades. Alexandra Bortich and Pavel Maykov carry the premise with enough warmth that the absurdity reads as grief dressed up as comedy.
