Nuit d'ivresse

"Nuit d'ivresse" (1986) is a French comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Bernard Nauer. TV host Jacques Belin picks up an award, drinks too much to celebrate, and misses the last train to his soap-opera fiancée. The night suddenly has no plan.

He runs into Frède — a woman fresh out of three years in prison, sardonic and directionless. They have nothing in common and nowhere to be, so they drink their way across Paris, arguing the whole time. Thierry Lhermitte and Josiane Balasko play it as a two-hander built on friction; the film never lets either of them off the hook.
