Vincent has coasted on family connections for years, holding a do-nothing government post. When massive layoffs hit the public sector, his boss Isabel is determined to get rid of him. He won't resign. So she ships him off on increasingly extreme postings: deep in Africa, the Amazon jungle, finally the North Pole. It's there that Vincent meets Eva and, for the first time, faces a reason to actually care about something.
