Born in the USSR: 14 Up (1998) is the series' second chapter — watch online on iFILM. The same twenty subjects Miroshnichenko first filmed in 1990, then aged seven. Now they're fourteen.

Between installments, the country they were born into collapsed. Some stayed in Russia; others ended up across former Soviet republics now entirely separate from each other. The crew returned to each of them without narration, without a clear agenda beyond continuing to look.
