Synopsis
The Angel Maker (Englemageren, 2023) is a Danish crime thriller — watch it online on iFILM. Detective Laura (Julie R. Ølgaard, who also co-directed alongside Esben Tønnesen) is on maternity leave with postpartum depression when a serial killer begins murdering women across the city with calculated brutality.
She comes back to the job before she is ready, working the case with her cynical partner (Roland Müller). The investigation moves forward, but so does an uncomfortable realization: Laura carries her own buried secret that could unravel everything if it surfaces. The killer outside, the fracture inside — both closing in.
