Synopsis
Give a Little Beat (La Famille Hennedricks, 2024) is a French family comedy you can watch online on iFILM. When her teenage son Henri announces he'd rather live with his dad, Justine panics and books no hotel — she just loads everyone into a camper van and points it down the Atlantic coast toward the island of Noirmoutier.
The passengers barely qualify as a family yet. There's Justine, her new partner Ludo, her stepson Joseph, and Henri, who would rather be anywhere else. The van is cramped. The route keeps bending. By the second gas station, old grudges and small surprises are already spilling out, and nobody turns out to be quite who they seemed at home.
This is the directing debut of Laurence Arné, who also plays Justine opposite Dany Boon, one of France's biggest box-office comedians. It's a breezy road trip arguing that family gets built on the move, not handed down. Good company for anyone who likes warm comedies that skip the syrup.
