Synopsis
Home Education (2023) is an Italian psychological thriller directed by Andrea Niada — watch it online on iFILM. Lydia Page plays a home-schooled girl whose entire world is shaped by her mother's lessons, with Julia Ormond as the woman who controls every aspect of her daughter's education.
At first the girl trusts everything she is told. Then doubt sets in. Is the woman acting out of genuine care, or is something darker running beneath the surface? As the daughter starts to question the rules and look for her own answers, the film steadily tightens the tension between them. Niada keeps the horror low-key and the atmosphere personal — closer to a two-hander chamber piece than a genre film, which makes the final reveal hit harder.
