Synopsis
The Silent Planet (2024) is a stripped-down sci-fi thriller you can watch online on iFILM, all dread and almost no spectacle. An aging convict has served his life sentence alone on a remote planet — until a replacement is mistakenly shipped in to share the rock.
Elias Koteas plays the lifer who has grown into the silence of an empty world; the arrival of a second prisoner, played by Briana Middleton, rattles him and drags up the life he left behind on Earth. The film keeps you guessing which memories are true and which he rewrote to stay sane. Two actors, a barren landscape and slow-burning mistrust carry it in place of effects.
