Mooned

"Mooned" (2023) — watch online on iFILM — is a nine-minute animated short from Illumination directed by Jonathan del Val. It picks up a thread left dangling since the original Despicable Me (2010): Vector, the villain voiced again by Jason Segel, is still stranded on the moon where Gru left him. Pierre Coffin is back too.

The short is exactly nine minutes of escalating failure as Vector talks himself through increasingly bad ideas for getting back to Earth. Fast, funny, and precisely as petty as you'd expect from a character built entirely on his own inflated self-regard. Stream Mooned online on iFILM.
