Synopsis
Explosion After Midnight (1969) is a Soviet historical adventure you can watch online on iFILM. Spring 1919: every route to the Baku oil fields has been sealed off.
To get fuel to the Red Army, Cheka officer Georgy Atarbekov plans a dangerous gambit — open a line to the Dagestan revolutionary committee and smuggle the fuel through. Two agit-brigade actors, Armen and Anush, are sent to the port of Petrovsk disguised as a detained Persian merchant and his wife. One slip and the whole scheme falls apart. The film was directed by Erazm Karamyan and Stepan Kevorkov, with Valerian Vinogradov and Gurgen Tonunts.
