Synopsis
Exodus (2025) is a British refugee drama you can watch online on iFILM. It opens in a Turkey still reeling from a failed military takeover, as a sweep of arrests pulls in anyone the state can brand a plotter. Three strangers land in the net: a university lecturer, a police officer, and a Kurdish artist.
None of them is a terrorist, but it's too late to argue the point — the choice is prison or flight. They run. Leaving homes and the people they love behind, the three attach themselves to a group of migrants being smuggled across the border. What follows is a road with no guarantees: people from different countries, different reasons to flee, bound by the same hope of reaching a place where fear no longer rules the day. Along the way each clings to whatever little is left. Ümit Ülgen, Denis Ostier, and Selen Cabel star.
Director Serkan Nihat takes the real political turbulence of 2016 as a starting point, then trains the camera not on headlines but on individual fates on a route that, for thousands, became the only way out. A hundred and four minutes of restrained, grounded drama with no action gloss. It's for viewers who value social cinema about displacement and the price of freedom.
