Synopsis
Love is Sweet (半是蜜糖半是伤, 2020) is a Chinese workplace rom-com you can watch online on iFILM. Jiang Jun, armed with degrees in economics and psychology, walks into the final round of interviews at a top investment firm. The man behind the director's desk turns out to be Yuan Shuai, an old classmate tied to a few of the most humiliating moments of her childhood.
He isn't thrilled to see her either, and dismisses her with a line about how a "lamb" has no business among "wolves." Interview failed. Jiang Jun, though, refuses to walk away. Here's the catch: she has a rare condition — she's allergic to her own tears, so crying is literally life-threatening, and the cutthroat world of finance has no mercy for someone who weeps easily. The icy, handsome Yuan Shuai happens to know about it, and turns out to be far gentler than the front he puts up.
Bai Lu and Luo Yunxi lead, and their wolf-versus-lamb chemistry is what carries the show. Expect office rivalries, quiet schemes and ice melting slowly between two former adversaries.
