Synopsis
First Responders (Åreakuten, 2020) is a Swedish drama series you can watch online on iFILM, produced by SF Studios for Viaplay. Set in the mountain resort of Åre, the show follows the people whose job is to hold things together when the slopes turn dangerous.
Three services share the story — hospital staff, local police and mountain rescue crews. The medics stabilise inside the hospital; the officers work the roads and accident scenes; the rescue teams go where nothing else can reach. The Åre mountains don't care about shift schedules. Between emergencies, the characters carry personal friction the relentless pace keeps pushing aside, but the show takes care to let it surface.
The real-location mountain setting gives the series a physical specificity that most procedural dramas don't have — the environment is genuinely beautiful and genuinely indifferent to whoever is in trouble on it. Stream First Responders (2020) online on iFILM.
