Synopsis

The quiet does not hold. The locals who take McCall in turn out to be squeezed by the Camorra, so he picks up his old trade again — quietly, methodically, no speeches. Dakota Fanning plays a CIA officer pulling at the same thread; her pairing with Washington nods back to Man on Fire, where the two first worked together in 2004. Boston's streets give way to Italian fishing villages, and the slow southern routine keeps snapping into short, brutal confrontations.
