Synopsis
Historian (Istorik, 2021) is a Russian detective series you can watch online on iFILM. By day Andrey Izvorin lectures on history at a university; by night he draws comics under the pen name Hunter.
Izvorin holds a theory: every unsolved crime eventually repeats itself, especially the ones where the wrong person took the fall. He thinks in pictures, and that artist's habit turns into a way of reading a crime scene. Teamed with investigator Anna Rybakova, he tracks the strangest of killers and reopens cases everyone else had filed away. Pavel Artemyev and Maria Lugovaya take the leads.
