Synopsis
Woori the Virgin (우리는 오늘부터, 2022) is a South Korean romantic comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Oh Woo-ri is a drama screenwriter's assistant who promised to stay chaste until marriage — then one mismanaged gynaecological appointment changes everything.
Two men are now complicating her situation. Kang-jae is a detective and her ex, who spent four years waiting. Bok-rae is the heir to a plastic surgery clinic with a reputation for tabloid drama, now trying to rebuild his life after a serious illness. Directed by Jeong Jeong-hwa, the series is a Korean reimagining of Jane the Virgin (2014), which itself adapted a Venezuelan telenovela from 2002. The premise runs on telenovela coincidences and a love triangle that actually has some tension to it — unpretentious fun if you are in the market for an earnest K-drama.
