Synopsis
La Máquina (2024) is a Mexican series you can watch online on iFILM. Aging boxer Esteban "La Máquina" Osuna hits rock bottom after a brutal loss, and his manager and oldest friend Andy Lujan refuses to let the career end there. Getting one more shot at the top, though, will cost far more than money.
To set up the rematch, Andy gets tangled with a shadowy organization that quietly runs the sport, and suddenly stepping back into the ring turns into a question of survival. Esteban wrestles his own addictions and demons while trying to hold his family together, and his journalist ex-wife keeps digging into secrets that put everyone in danger. Directed by Gabriel Ripstein, this Spanish-language drama swings between gut-punch sports tragedy and pitch-black comedy, carrying a mature rating and a jittery tone that tightens as the fight nears.
