Mork & Mindy (1978) is the ABC sitcom you can watch online on iFILM. A bumbling alien named Mork lands on Earth from the planet Ork, and Mindy, the young woman who takes him in, becomes his guide to every human custom he keeps getting wrong.

Mork studies people the way a scientist studies lab samples. He talks to plants, mangles social rituals, and ends each day reporting home to his superiors with fingers jammed in his ears and a cheerful "Nanu nanu." Mindy McConnell walks him through dating, jobs and family holidays; in return she picks up a little Orkan dancing. The longer they share a roof, the harder it gets to pretend the bond between them is only friendship.

What carried the show was Robin Williams in his first major role, riffing so fast that writers left blank gaps in the script just for him to fill.
