Synopsis
Akusher (2023) is a Russian drama series you can watch online on iFILM. Military surgeon Gleb Kaverin — played by Nikita Panfilov — returns to Nizhny Novgorod after a posting to Africa: battle-hardened, sardonic, and stuck in a personal life going nowhere. On a river cruise, a pregnant internet celebrity goes into labor under extreme conditions and Kaverin steps in, throws the rulebook out, and delivers the baby. He wakes up a local hero.
The fame goes sideways fast. A TV crew comes to his door to congratulate him and catches his wife Marina with another man — by evening the whole city knows.
