Platina (2007) is a Russian crime-action series you can watch online on iFILM. Senior Lieutenant Alexei Kartash is posted to a Siberian penal colony beside a remote taiga settlement — exile from Moscow, his punishment for an affair with a general's daughter.
At first it reads as dull duty at the edge of nowhere. Then he hears about a spot deep in the woods the locals only mention in whispers — Shamankina Mar, a stretch of swamp from which people who go in never walk back out. Kartash starts digging and uncovers something far darker: hidden among the bogs sits a secret mine where prisoners, watched over by armed guards, dig out precious metal. By the time he grasps the stakes, there is no path back.
