Synopsis
Die Hart (2020) is the action-comedy series you can watch online on iFILM, and its joke is simple: Kevin Hart is sick of playing the funny sidekick. So when a big director dangles a leading-man action role in front of him, he grabs it — without reading the fine print. First he has to graduate from the world's most insane action-star academy.
That academy is run by an unhinged instructor played by John Travolta, who can't tell a training drill from attempted murder. The explosions, car chases and stunts are all painfully real, and Kevin — playing a heightened, panicky version of himself — limps through every one of them. A sharp fellow student, Jordan (Nathalie Emmanuel), seems to be running her own agenda. Eric Appel directs.
