Synopsis
Yug (2024) is a Russian road-trip drama from director Ivan Sosnin that you can watch online on iFILM. Yug Kipen is a shy, buttoned-up teenager raised by his grandmother — his mother died when he was three, and he has never once met his father.
His fourteenth birthday changes everything. In his grandmother's closet he finds the money his father had been quietly sending for years, and the boy makes an impossible decision: cross the entire country to track the man down. There are several possible fathers, scattered from one end of Russia to the other — some 9,000 kilometers of road. Along the way Yug takes in the country's most beautiful corners, meets dozens of strangers, and slowly faces down a whole catalogue of his own fears. Yaroslav Mogilnikov plays Yug, with Timofey Tribuntsev, Yuri Kolokolnikov and Nadezhda Markina along the route.
