Synopsis
Belgium, the early 1980s. De Big Fuck-up (2025) is a crime comedy you can watch online on iFILM about a young man who dreamed of seeing the world and landed in the gendarmerie instead.
Jan Laureys pins on the uniform to please his father, a career gendarme officer. Then he hears about the CDI — a new squad fighting drug crime with American methods and, crucially, no uniforms, so he can keep parading his sharp outfits around the barracks. His trainer is Bob, a DEA agent shipped in from the States. After one expensive blunder drains the unit's budget, the team takes Bob's advice and starts dealing drugs to earn it back. It works beautifully — right up until it doesn't, mostly for Jan.
Director Wim Geudens turns this Flemish caper into a sly send-up of cops and the decade, where the brass's stupidity is funnier than any villain. Willem De Schryver and Koen De Bouw head the cast. Stream De Big Fuck-up (2025) online on iFILM.
