6teen (2004) is a Canadian animated comedy series — watch online on iFILM. Six sixteen-year-olds take on their first jobs at the Galleria Mall, spending roughly equal time actually working and sorting out their social lives.

Each of the six has a different gig — smoothie bar, movie rental booth, fashion outlet — and a different set of problems to manage. They regroup at the food court, compare disasters, and move on to the next one. The show follows the full arc of their high school years across multiple seasons, which gives the characters room to grow in ways that one-season teen series rarely manage.

Produced for Canadian channel Teletoon and picked up by Cartoon Network internationally, 6teen sits closer in tone to Daria than to Saturday-morning cartoons — dialogue-driven, aimed at actual teenagers, and honest enough about being sixteen to stay watchable past the target age.
