Region (2003) is a Russian comedy crime series you can watch online on iFILM. Sergei Bezrukov plays Pavel Kravtsov, a city police lieutenant so stubbornly honest that his superiors had no real use for him: they shipped him off to Anisovka, a remote village where the previous district officer had vanished under murky circumstances.

Pavel is a misfit in the countryside. He apologises before putting on handcuffs. He is young, principled, and genuinely troubled by injustice — none of which makes rural politics any easier. His one reliable partner is Caesar, a bloodhound. Meanwhile the personal life he left behind in the city quietly unravels from a distance.
