Bella Dubois arrives at his castle as a maid — her father's debt, her burden to carry. Leon's cousin Helene proposes a wager: seduce the girl, then discard her. Leon agrees. Two episodes is barely enough room to set the trap, let alone spring it — this reads as an opening chapter — but the cast sells the tension between calculated cruelty and something quieter underneath.
