The Last Cop (2015) is a Russian action-comedy series you can watch online on iFILM, led by Gosha Kutsenko. Police captain Alexei Divov is shot on duty in 1995 — and wakes up in a hospital ward in 2015, twenty years gone.

The militia is now the police. Racketeers and tracksuit bosses are history. His daughter Yulia has grown up, his wife Liza has remarried, and his young colleagues crack cases with smartphones and forensic databases. Divov cracks them the same way he always did — fists first, questions second. What makes Kutsenko's performance work is that he plays it completely straight: Divov isn't struggling to adapt, he simply doesn't see why he should.
