Synopsis

Every creature in the magical world — witches, vampires, demons — wants the text back, and none of them are polite about it. Diana has spent years keeping her own witchcraft quiet; now it surfaces without warning, in library corridors and on rowing lakes. The man who steps in to help is Matthew Clairmont, a vampire old enough to remember the manuscript's origins, which makes him either useful or dangerous. The Congregation — the body that governs magical species — forbids exactly their kind of alliance, and both communities are paying attention. As the witch Satu tightens her pursuit, Diana and Matthew seek cover at the Clairmont family estate.
