The Bridge (Seasons 1–2)

The Bridge (2018) is a Russian-Estonian crime drama series — watch it online on iFILM. A border bridge connecting Russia and Estonia goes dark for a few minutes. When the lights return, a body is found on the centre line — on the exact boundary between the two countries. Neither side is willing to cede jurisdiction, so a joint investigation is formed.

Russian investigator Maxim Kazantsev (Mikhail Porechnikov) and Estonian inspector Inga Veermaa (Elina Pyakhklimyagi) approach the case from different directions and at different speeds. The murders keep coming, each one carefully staged and accompanied by a written statement about social injustice. Kazantsev and Veermaa spend a long time assuming they're chasing an ideological avenger. The trail eventually leads uncomfortably close to Kazantsev himself. Also featuring Ingeborga Dapkunaite and Andrius Paulavicius.
