Synopsis
Chuzhoy Rayon (Чужой район, 2012) is a Russian crime series you can watch online on iFILM, rated 16+. Criminal investigator Andrey Frolov, played by Kirill Polukhin, refuses to run interrogations with pressure or force — which leaves him the odd man out in a department that prefers not to ask too many questions about method.
When Frolov arrests a suspect who turns out to be the grandson of a well-connected figure, the department issues a straightforward choice: leave on his own terms, or face what comes next. Directed by Andrey Korshunov and Maxim Brius, the series is built on the friction between a cop who takes procedure seriously and an institution that functions on entirely different logic.
