Top Gear Season 16 — watch online on iFILM. Six episodes, BBC Two, 2011. The opening is unexpected: it's James, not Jeremy, who gets the track car — a V8-engined Ariel Atom that hits 60mph in under 2.3 seconds.
The rest matches that tempo. The British trio faces their Australian counterparts in an Ashes-style motoring contest: rallying, drifting and a few disciplines that only Australians could invent. Albania hosts a comparison of three ultra-luxury saloons — a Rolls-Royce Ghost, a Bentley Mulsanne and a Mercedes S65 AMG. The team attempts to fix Britain's annual snow chaos with a combine harvester and a crash course from Norway — a plan as reasonable as it sounds. Hammond closes by finally getting behind the wheel of the childhood supercars he had been talking about for years.
For fans of the show's original era, this is one of the densest seasons. Stream Top Gear Season 16 all episodes online on iFILM.
