Synopsis

Season 27 of Top Gear arrives with a new lineup — watch all five 2019 episodes online on iFILM. Freddie Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness step in alongside Chris Harris, and from the first scene the energy shifts.

Their debut road trip goes to Ethiopia: each host drives the cheapest version of his very first car, navigating scorching desert and the Danakil Depression, one of the hottest inhabited places on earth. Back home, the three build battery-powered sports cars from scratch — budget, duct tape, inevitably disappointing results. Paddy and Freddie later take rare, cheap old vehicles into the Borneo jungle with the Gurkhas, and Flintoff travels to Iceland for what locals call the maddest motorsport competition in existence. Harris adds the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and the full story of the Lotus 79 to the season's checklist.
