Synopsis

Josephine is a socialite who travels into the frozen wilderness to find her husband, explorer Robert Peary, pushing toward the North Pole. She is brave, stubborn, and wholly unprepared. Stranded in a remote outpost, she meets Allaka — a local Inuit woman who also loves Robert and is pregnant with his child. The film gives these two women nothing to do but survive together through the polar dark.
Coixet filmed on location in Greenland and Bulgaria, and the landscapes crush any notion of romance with sheer physical weight. The cold is the film's real argument: it strips away rank, privilege, and everything Josephine thought made her different from Allaka. Watch Endless Night online on iFILM.
