Mexico, on the brink of the 1913 uprising. Juan Miranda robs stagecoaches with a swarm of his own children and dreams of one big score: the bank at Mesa Verde. Fate throws him together with John Mallory, an Irishman on the run from the British who handles explosives like a surgeon. Juan wants that talent for the gold. But the bank's vaults hold political prisoners instead of cash, and a single blast turns a small-time crook into a revolutionary hero he never meant to become.

This is the closing chapter of Leone's "Once Upon a Time" trilogy, carried by Ennio Morricone's aching "Sean Sean" theme.
