Synopsis
Daria (1997), Season 2 — 13 episodes of MTV's animated comedy, watch online on iFILM. Daria Morgendorffer is back at Lawndale High: just as sharp, just as out of place.
The season keeps the show's dry rhythm while quietly deepening the characters. The school administration censors a poster Daria and Jane made for a contest — they respond in the only way that makes sense to them. Quinn flirts with a reputation as a brain and finds it harder to shake than she expected. Jane joins the track team and turns out to be very good, which reshapes the duo's usual routines. A new student arrives who has never seen an advertisement in his life, which fascinates and slightly depresses Daria in equal measure. A couple of episodes put her and Trent in situations where something goes unspoken on purpose. The final episode assigns Daria a short story about the people she knows — it ends up being the most honest thing she has written.
