Synopsis
Showing Up (2023) is Kelly Reichardt's dry, quietly funny portrait of an artist at work — watch it online on iFILM. Michelle Williams plays Lizzy, a sculptor days away from an exhibition that could shift her career, trying to finish her ceramic figures while everyone around her needs something.
Her landlord and friend Jo (Hong Chau) won't fix the hot water. Her mother keeps calling about nothing urgent. Her brother is unravelling again. A stray pigeon the studio cat half-mauled now lives in a box in Lizzy's kitchen. Judd Hirsch appears as her father; André Benjamin and Amanda Plummer round out the cast.
