Synopsis

Diggstown (1992) is a con-man comedy-drama from director Michael Ritchie that you can watch online on iFILM. Fresh out of prison, hustler Gabriel Caine rolls into a town that lives and breathes boxing.

Caine, played by James Woods, bets the man who owns most of Diggstown that he can produce a fighter to knock out ten local men inside twenty-four hours. The catch: his fighter is Roy "Honey" Palmer, a 48-year-old everyone writes off as washed up. Louis Gossett Jr. plays Palmer, with Oliver Platt, Bruce Dern and a young Heather Graham filling out the scheme.

The real bout here happens off the canvas, in the bluffs, side bets and double-crosses between two operators who each think they're the smartest grifter in the room. A sly, underrated little picture for anyone who enjoys a good swindle and a finish you don't see coming. Stream Diggstown (1992) online on iFILM.
