Synopsis
The Survivors (1983) is a Michael Ritchie comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. On the same bad morning, mild-mannered Donald gets fired thanks to his boss's parrot and Sonny watches his gas station burn down. Two strangers, both broke, end up nursing coffee in the same diner when a gunman walks in.
They disarm the robber and wake up minor celebrities. The catch: the robber, Jack, is a hitman, and he does not forget a humiliation. Sonny retreats to the woods and turns full survivalist, stockpiling guns for a war nobody asked for. Donald just wants his old life back. Walter Matthau plays the worn-down realist, Robin Williams the twitchy paranoid, and their bickering carries the whole picture.
