Synopsis
Superjail! (2008) is the Adult Swim animated comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Christy Karacas built a hand-drawn fever dream around a maximum-security prison hidden inside a volcano — which sits inside a second, larger volcano.
The place answers to one man: a top-hatted, purple-suited Warden with no rules and unlimited budget. Episodes open almost calmly. The robot guard Jailbot hauls in the convict Jacknife, the Warden gets fixated on some deranged new scheme, his bumbling twin guards botch it, and the tidy setup collapses into a geyser of cartoon gore by the closing minutes. Inmates die by the dozen. Everything resets before the next round.
The show never pretends to make sense — space and time bend to the Warden's whims, and that is the whole point. The animation is rubbery, the palette is acid-bright, and plot always loses to whatever the animators dreamed up.
