Synopsis
Convoy (1978) is Sam Peckinpah's high-octane road movie — stream it online on iFILM. Chris Kristofferson plays Rubber Duck, a trucker who becomes an unlikely folk hero, with Ali MacGraw along for the ride and Ernest Borgnine playing a crooked sheriff who makes the whole thing personal.
It starts with a setup: Sheriff Wallace shakes down truckers for sport, using his CB radio to catch them off guard. When he pushes too hard at a roadside diner and a brawl breaks out, Rubber Duck guns it toward the state line. Word travels fast on the CB and within hours a convoy of big rigs is rolling with him — not quite a protest, not quite a chase, something looser and louder than either.
Peckinpah treats the whole thing like a country song turned into a parade: all noise, velocity and denim Americana. It is not a tight thriller — it is a mood, a movement. For viewers who want wide-open highways and a lead foot on the accelerator, this one still delivers. Watch Convoy (1978) online on iFILM.
