Pam is a carefree goose who always flew at the front of the flock and never looked back. A wing injury grounds him — right next to two orphaned ducklings who immediately appoint him their father. The walk to winter quarters is the whole movie: predators, bad weather, and the harder challenge of learning to care about someone other than yourself.
