Robin Robin (2021) is a British animated short you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Mikey Please and Daniel Ojari for Netflix. A baby robin hatches inside a mouse burrow and grows up convinced she is — despite all evidence — a mouse. She can sneak, she can forage, she can fit in. She cannot fly.

Bronte Carmichael voices Robin with just the right mix of earnestness and longing. Richard E. Grant plays a sleek Rat who crosses her path, and Gillian Anderson is the Magpie — predatory and elegant in equal measure. At 32 minutes, the story moves at the pace of a picture book, which is exactly right for what it is.
